yet another song that I wrote so long ago I am not sure what all the notes mean

Look at me I'm a Christian boy

as good as can be

every body knows I go to church

I carry my bible for all to see

Christian T-shirts are all I wear

Christian music is all I hear

but behind closed doors

lies my true Christianity

I Live my life from day to day

doing nothing to change the way I live

I'm a white washed tomb

I have a form but I have no power

lies my dead Christianity

I play this game we call church

but all this religion doesn't work

I need something real

I need something true

All this religion just won't do

I'm tired of faking I'm living a lie

And behind closed doors

Lies my false Churchianity

Someday I will get to know the creator of the universe

Someday I will trade this lie for the truth

Some day I will swap my religion for a relationship

Someday I will seek Jesus

and maybe someday I will

but not today.

This was a homework asignment for my junior english class we were suposed to make a entry in our english journal and entitle 'What do I live for?' I decided to do mine last minute and in poem form

I live for the past

seeking revenge, finding forgiveness

Proving myself, seeing the change

I live for the present

How can I reach a life now

Leave an impression today

Do something I can talk about tomorrow

I live for the future

To make money, earn money

College education, preach, learn

Guide, follow, lead, learn, live

I live for myself

When I shouldn't when I should

When it's good when it's bad

I live for friend and family

To love, for love

To give, to get, to share

To provide, to depend and rely

To show, to see, to prove

And above all

 I live for God

By his word, by His will

To serve, save, and lead

To follow, to share love

Bring hope, care, love, obey, grow

Learn, to give to get

I am an excited Jesus Freak

I wonder if I will reach my dreams
